The Highland Bridge project is located where the 16 th Street alignment crosses over Interstate-25 in Downtown Denver, Colorado. The purpose of the Highland bridge is to complete the connection from the Downtown Central Business District through the Central Platte Valley and the new Commons neighborhood. The third in a family of bridges, the Highland bridge unites the Highland neighborhood on the west side of I-25 with the new Commons Park and other major attraction such as Coors Field, the Pepsi Center , and Lower Downtown. This connection helps the City realize its goal of providing a high quality life for visitors and residents of the Central Platte alley by making the environment as pedestrian and bike friendly as possible.
